QuoteOrlando wasn't planning to air the game, anyway

I didn't realize that they actually had a choice in the matter, as per the NFL.

Oddly enough, in Orlando they can choose another game over home games; but road games they must carry regardless.

It would be Jaguaresque to move some home games to Orlando... not sell out and have them blacked out in Jacksonville.

And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

The team said two months ago that all the games would be blacked out. I am going and hope to see a good performance. The schedule over the next month and a half looks very favorable for us.

Lets hope so. They need a good showing againts Tenn. I'll be there in Teal!!!

Actually the team said that "based on current non-premium ticket sales, games would appear to be blacked out". The black-out rule is not a Jags rule, but instead an NFL rule, meaning the only thing the Jags can do to control the blackout, is sell tickets.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."

I know they aren't blacked out until the week of the game. My only point was Weaver was prepared for this. I am hoping if the team strings some wins together that we can a few on TV.

Every game will blacked out regardless of how the Jags do, and here is why. They are almost 20k short for everygame this year (except maybe the Colts Thursday nighter) so they have sold approx 45k tix per game. Of that 45k only 35k actually go, so another 10k get to go for free (with the unused ones, or they scalp them at less than face value) Its a bad bad situation, and its bugging me alot right now.....I ll be there Sunday section 204!

I was thinking the games against Indy and Miami could end up selling enough non-premium seating to be shown. Unfortunately, it would be because of opposing fans.

Hopefully some wins will at least move some more tickets, as was the case when there was the late ticket-buying surge for the last couple of home games of '07 against Carolina and Oakland.
