Does anyone know when the on-ramp to I-95 from Ashley St. was closed? And why it closed? Was it because Ashley was split a few blocks to the east? I noticed the former on-ramp while driving onto I-95 N from Beaver and was curious.

Sorry I can't give any specifics, however, this exit has been closed for quite sometime.  I think during Renaissance, ( ha, ha), of La Villa.  It's funny about a week ago I went up the same Beaver St. entrance and looked back at that closed exit.

Looks like an ideal nightspot for urban outdoorsmen.

From the photo, the clearance below the overpass looks a bit low.  Wonder if this is why it's closed.

Hey!  Whatever happened to just plain ol' COMMON SENSE!!

I used to use that ramp quite a bit... it was very low(had all sorts of clearance signs leading up to it) and had a serious blind spot approaching the ramp.  The homeless used to camp up underneath the underpass when it was in operation and I can vividly remember twice I almost hit a few of these unfortunate people trying to get on to 95.

Well COJ certainly fixed that problem, didn't they?

They razed the entire area destroying almost every structure, including occupied private homes, for a clean mile in every direction. Worked like a charm, now the homeless have taken over Hemming Park and the new library right in front of city hall.

Brilliant job, coj!
