Jacksonville unemployment rises again to 11.9%

Metro Jacksonville’s unemployment rate rose to 11.9 percent in August from 11.7 percent in July, the third consecutive monthly increase after three months of declines.
The local rate had dropped from 12.2 percent in February to 11.9 percent in March, 11.1 percent in April and 10.8 percent in May before trending up again.
