Hello,

I'm interested to find out if there is a "supperclub" group that arranges dinners at area restaurants?  Anybody know of one (or two)???

Thanks.

I'm not sure, but there are enough intown to select and make reservations for x number of people! You could probably get a group rate if you ask politely...........let your fingers do the walking and go from there!

Folio Weekly has the Bite Club.  They are going to the new place in Ponte Vedra next(the old Twisted Martini)

Does the Cowford Supper Club still exist??

Sounds like we might be witnessing the birth of the MetroJacksonville supper club!

I'm in.  Just let me know when we want to start with something.

Thanks everyone for the interest.  And special thanks to @fieldafm for tipping me on the Folio "Bite Club."  In case anyone is unaware of them:  http://fwbiteclub.com/about

I will look into what it takes to start a supperclub.  My interest is to get a set of serious foodies together both to taste as well as to socialize; and (kindly) terrorize local restaurants into raising their standards.  But please don't hold your breath waiting on me.

Nonetheless, I will report back later.
Thanks again, everyone!

Yall can use the backyard of Shantytown any time...I cook almost every Sunday around 6!

While we're waiting for a date at Santytown (any Sunday @6p?)....
Espeto offers juicy preparations of over a dozen meats and over 20 salads and side dishes - and offers group rates if you use their back room.
The owners are genuinely hospitable and prep extras you would drool over.

Yes.  IWFSJAX.com.  International Wine & Food Society, Jacksonville.  Kathy Kallaus is the contact. kathykall@comcast.net.  They have a dinner at Epping this Friday Oct 8, 2010.  You need to be a member or guest of a member to attend.

I am part of a small supperclub of other local artists. We are going to the Regency Olive Garden this Tuesday at 6:30PM. Send me a PM if anyone is interested in joining, the more the merrier!
