Reply if you are interested in being interviewed for a film about the development of downtown Jacksonville.

Typical questions will include but are not limited to:

What has the city done to help your business? (start, maintain, grow)

How receptive to change and new ideas about downtown are the policy makers that you have dealt with?

Has the presence of the First Baptist Church of Downtown Jacksonville affected your business in any way?

Is the current 'Better Jacksonville Plan' going to impact your business in the foreseeable future?

Other questions to be considered:

What incentive would the city need to provide you for you to consider opening a new business in the downtown Jacksonville area?

What suggestions would you give to others looking to open a business in the area?

---

So far, the main interviewee is Nathan, owner of Big Pete's Pizzaria. He has offered many scenarios for improvement to the city council and seemingly through the proper channels. He has been laughed out of these meetings as "being too young", or had ideas that would "increase the downtown traffic too much." To him, it seems the city is concerned with staying the way its been and does not think that the downtown is an important area.

Any stories such as this need to be told, and this film is the opportunity to voice an opinion about the conditions.

Hopefully this is enough background to help you make a decision. It would be a pleasure at least to interview you. A greater downtown would hopefully be the result of this film; however, if the city is still not accepting change this film will serve as a promotion for those business owners that have been struggling for so long.

If you are interested in an interview reply to this email with appropriate times and dates.
