Remember the movie with Dudley Moore where he gets a bunch of in-patients to turn the advertising world
on it's head by speaking the truth instead of sugar-coating? "Buy Volvo - They're Boxy but they're Good"

Jax has been pulling out all the stops to highlight either how beautiful and great the city is, how awesome it can be, etc. All the grandstanding, the plan, let us tell you about our Arena, courthouse, downtown guides, etc. And that is true to an extent. But there is another side to it - it's TOUGH, CONSERVATIVE, SLOW, OLD, DIRTY/GRITTY, BLUE COLLAR, ORNERY TRAFFIC, SPRAWLING, POLLUTED in some areas, etc. Managed by the JTA - ooh-bad word here You get the picture.

So...why not highlight that? If places like Pittsburgh and Baltimore and Philly can spotlight themselves as rough, tough, blue collar pride, breweries and hard working ports...why can't Jax?

Stinky and glistening Fish market pier downtown
Walk-in carpenters guild center downtown

Just firing off ideas, maybe theyre crazy I dunno.We could take it to the extreme and turn downtown into a permanent obstackle course and you get sent in by the Running Man rocket sled with JTA chasing you down like Fireball and Buzzsaw...
