...and it's freakin' gorgeous.

Robert Florio master designer of all things beautiful and of "Community Garden" and other assorted topiaries, with the help of Joe Markusic, Team Recovery master mind fiberglass maker and problem fixer, created another piece of unique Springfield art.

Congratulations to them and to you... Sweet Pete's ...for your good taste.

Hiring local artisans to create unique items benefits the neighborhood in so many ways. Thanks Sweet Pete's.

When this picture was taken, the giant lilies that were in the red pots were missing. Are they coming back?  They are terrific too.

FSU, my thoughts also when this thread appeared.  :-X
Springfield since 1998

I agree, Fsujax, but I believe this one was properly permitted and it is completely within the property and not overhanging the easements.  I believe that to be to issue with doing something like this on Main Street.
"My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement." Patrica, Joe VS the Volcano.

I bet they'd do keen SOS hearts too! Unfortunately, we need so many in order to save Springfield they couldn't keep up with the demand. Perhaps a total of 4 around the perimeter on the main roads leading into the historic district proper.

Good point!  Perhaps that can happen

Someone stole some hearts which were fixed by tie wire on the chain link fence for the properties on Pearl.

See...collector's items!! ;D

Joe is constructing giant candy canes for our favorite candy shop.

I'll say it again:

This is great.  Thanks for sharing.

It's hard to imagine more festive or pleasing, or really neighborhood-enhancing, advertising than enormous pieces of candy.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

From an Epoxy guy to Robert F and Joe M....nice sign guys! I wish I had Gallons of resin to play with...
I Like the "Sweet" gently crushing the "Pete's"...so the apostrophe and "s" is bent down.

A candy shop in Springfield on Pearl between 8th & 9th. Proprietors are Peter (of Peterbrooke's) and his wife Allison. They take an organic approach to sweets. Chocolates, caramels, cotton candy, hot cocoa, ice cream, hard candies and more. You really should check them out.
