That, is indeed, a good letter. Is there an email address to use, or must our letters go out by snail mail?

Lisa Sheppard is out of the office right now and won't be back until after today's meeting. You can try Joel McEachin. I think his email is mceachin@coj.net, but it's on the COJ website.  Also, we need to start engaging the city council.

Thanks, I emailed a copy to someone who was to take it there for me...I will, however also email a copy to Joel McEachin. I also agree that we need to engage the council in this and will work on that.

Does anyone know if these properties are for sale or if the owner is willing to sell?

1647 Pearl is one of the properties Tarpon LLC picked up in March by paying the back taxes.  As I understand it, the previous owner has up to two years to "buy" it back by paying the back taxes with interest, so I don't think Tarpon can sell it before then.  That means two years more that it sits vacant and unloved.  ARGH!

Tarpon has several homes on the eminent danger list.
Also, several have already been demolished.

But not knocked down, because if you can buy for back taxes and can't do anything with it for two years... well we need to cahnge that too.

Gentle Ladies I do agree! This might also be a candidate for mothballing.......do you think?
