Okay I am heading to the Sharks game Saturday night with my best friend and his grandson. Anyone have any tips on parking that doesn't require having to shell out 10 bucks?? I think thats outrageous and really gnaws at me. So helpful suggestions are appreciated.

You can always park on the street downtown just a few blocks west of the arena. It's only about a 7-10 minute walk and absolutely free.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Get there early and park on A Philip Randolph north of the Mathews Bridge expressway, that is what I do for Sun's Game!

There is free street parking around Sulzbacher, Adams St, Liberty... if ya get there early enough it is only about a 4 or 5 block walk...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Not sure of the street name but there is metered parking(15-20 spotsfree on weekend of course) adjacent to the Maxwell house building connecting Forsyth and Adams I think...

I've parked there SEVERAL times for Suns games, ACC baseball tourney, NCAA basketball tourney, and several Jags games.. and usually they have plenty of available spots.  Which is utterly amazing!

I was going to say the same thing about the Maxwell House parking on the side street (not sure of name either).   But you probably have to get there an hour and a half before start time of game.

Is it Marsh St? I see a bunch of meters and parking spaces at a 45 degree angle. Is that the street?

After all the great suggestions, you know what? I am buying the game tickets for me, my friend and his grandson. I'll let him pay the 10 bucks for parking and we can be right across the street in the Z lot from the arena. Street party starts at 5 with free shrimp..Gonna be a blast.
