Did a little research and there have been a number of complaints about Walkers having loud music past midnight blasting into residental areas. JSO has cited them as well as the city. But I could not find anything about Building Inspections. Walker Residential Holdings has not paid taxes for 2009 for the property at 2692 Post St. Or at 925 King St. But so haven't thousands of others. I don't believe they would shut them down for that.
Walkers does have a building permit that was suspended 3/25/2010. As best I can tell, it looks like the final building plans were never approved and signed off.
Hope he gets it all squared away.

Shady dealings aside, let's please not forget what can happen when a nightspot isn't up to code. By their very nature, these businesses have crowds of drunk people who are probably unfamiliar with the exists, crammed into a building with all sorts of wiring and electronics. These businesses should NEVER be open until they are up to code. (Whether the city needs to get off its ass and issue permits in a timely manner is another story).

But anyway - no one needs another Rhode Island club fire.

I remember just after the RI accident I was having drink at Wallstreet before going to a show at Fuel and one of the old regulars screaming at me not go because of what happened during the Great White show  :D

And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

What happened to Walkers serving food. Werent they supposed to have food?

They must not have filed for that permit.

All three venues were issued Stop Work Orders today until all permits are finalized.
