While my JTA experience today pales in comparisons to Stephens adventures some years back, it was still a most interesting experience today. I was at the Courthouse on Bay St and needed to get to City Hall St James. First time to ride the Bay St trolley. First I had to call JTA customer service to see how often the trolley ran and did it go to St James. 5 minutes listening to their commercials on hold and I gave up. Fortunately the trolley came along just a few minutes later. I asked the driver if she went to St James. Answer, no. Closest I can get is Forsyth and Laura. Okay, I can walk from there. Trolley proceeded down Bay St stopping at nearly every light and every bus stop. We get all the way down to the Skyway Station at the Convention Center and I'm thinking, I can take the Skyway to Hemming Plaza and St James is right there. So I hopped off the trolley and got on the escalator just in time to see the train heading out of the station. And it would be a nine minute wait. No problem. The overhead sign said "Jefferson, Central, Hemming Plaza, FCCJ Stations." Good, no train changing....wrong. Got on the train and the announcement says "final destination, Central Station."  Had to get off at Central and then wait another 5 minutes for the Hemming Plaza train.
So from the time I boarded the trolley at the Courthouse until I actually set foot in Hemming Plaza was 27 minutes. Total walking distance, 0.5 miles
I know I could have walked to St James faster, but I didn't feel like it.
