Well the first annual Mahi De Mayo was held in Mayport last weekend at Morning Star Marina. What a great time! It was like an all day party! The event had 17 registered boats and ran from 7 AM to 5PM. 15 boats qualified for the weigh in. The winning fish was about 27 pounds ( I dont recall the exact numbers). As the fish came in they were weighed, photographed and then went right to the cleaning station. All weighed fish were given to the event and were cooked up on the spot! We had fish tacos with all the fixins! The beer was cold the food was good and the company better. To all that came we hope you had a great time. If you missed it this year plan for it next year. A really big thanks to Current productions and Morning Star Marina for setting up a great event and to Easy Tiki for the great tent and ambiance. I am already looking forward to next year.
