Hmm - this indicates that the median income in JAX is higher than Orlando, Tampa, & even Miami/Ft. Lauderdale(?).  Tiffany's must have used this data!

Jim

That's quite a handy website.  Thanks.

Quick review: median isn't mean. So the 10% (just made up that number) that are super-rich in Miami are canceled out by the poorest 10%. Also looks like Jax's family poverty rate is the lowest of the FL cities ranked. I am not surprised by Jax's rank on either of those categories.

blizz, im sure you knew this, im just commenting for anyone who might be confused.  ;)

Thanks - So the assumption would be made that while Miami can boast the richest of the rich, they also carry the stigma of providing for the poorest of the poor (within Florida).

Also bear in mind the percentage of South Floridians who don't work but rather live off savings and Social Security.  Probably skews the median income figures down as well.

At the risk of sounding horribly politically incorrect, I found it humorous that Salt Lake City ranked #2 in "houses with 9 or more rooms".  Gotta put all those wives somewhere!  :)
