Welcome Amy!  You've already stumbled onto a great resource here a MetroJax.  Many great suggestions have already been made: RAM every Saturday, Art Walk next Wednesday.  This weekend there's also the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival in St. Augustine (http://www.gamblerogersfest.com) along with the Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach (http://www.shrimpfestival.com) and the weather should be great.  One of the secrets about Jacksonville: there's always more going on than you think, you just have to look a little harder to find out what's going on. 

Not at HOLA anymore? I've been meaning to come out for, uhhh, 6 months now. Maybe I'll finally swing by since I'm posting about it.

We're heading up to happy hour on top of the Bank of America tower next Wednesday to enjoy the view and have a drink or two before heading to Art Walk downtown next Wednesday.  If you're looking for something to do, Art Walk is a blast and you'll enjoy some amazing views of our city 30+ floors up!

Definitely recommend the Tuesday evening meetings at Three Layers.  I highly recommend it IF you don't want us to butter up Jacksonville.  We are pretty open about the lunacy in this city (this week was particularly crazy!)

Ditto..............wecome Ms Amy! Three Layers is assuredly fun on Tuesday nights since I did make it there one Tuesday several weeks ago! I will make it there again at some point, so if able I do recommend showing up for some interesting conversation if nothing else! Once again welcome to Jacksonville!

Did you go vist bugs the bunny atleast? Three Layers is one of those places you can strike up conversations with anyone and typically have a good one. Go see bugs in the mean time.
