Key West.

I was born in Jacksonville at Riverside Hospital.  I have lived in Key West, Florida since I was 18 years old.  I am gay.  I have a partner we have been together for almost 3 years now.I still love Jacksonville, but could never live there due to this ishome for me.  I dream one day Jacksonville will wake up and realize what it could be and what it has.  The Jaguars are a great part of the city and the area.  The city itself can be so much but holds itself back.  I remember when we always wanted to be Atlanta, then we wanted to be Miami.  WHY CAN'T we be JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA.  Anyway,  my hope is oneday Jax can be so much and so much more!!!

Thanks Stephen!  I have been following MetroJacksonville for about a year now and really enjoy it.  I am happy to see the Gay community growing there.  Would love to see a story about how the Gay Community has changed over the years and the history. As a child I remember Riverside always felt like home to me as I got older I understood why!
