To clarify, the film is based on a novel by Christopher Isherwood, and the screenplay is by Tom Ford and David Scearce.

When will the moving be playing at Five Points? I'd like to see it.

copperfiend

I will try to make it out there. The film has a great look to it. I think Tom Ford has a bright future ahead of him.

Miss Fixit

I saw A Single Man earlier this week, unfortunately before I knew it would be running at Five Points.

It is beautiful to look at and Colin Firth is remarkable.

I picked up my ticket at 3 Layers. Thanks!

I saw it in Charlotte a few weeks ago and enjoyed it.

Devlinmann - I'm sorry, but we had A Single Man for just one week.

We've got Crazy Heart right now, with Jeff Bridges as a drunken country music singer.  He's also up for  an Oscar for Best Actor.

Check out the preview here:

We've got other Oscar-nominated fare all this month:

February 26 to March 4 - Crazy Heart
March 5 to March 11 - Crazy Heart and The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus (with Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp & Tom Waits)
March 12 to March 18 - The Messenger (Best Supporting Actor nom for Woody Harrelson) & Imaginarium
March 19 to March 25 - The Last Station & The Red Baron (not nominated, but still cool)
March 26 to April 8 - Hot Tub Time Machine (released in 2010, so we'll have to see about Oscars)

Come and check us out!  Also, see my post about our new Wednesday "Dinner & a Movie" promotion!

I am so sorry I missed this showing at the Five Points Theatre.    It looks like another fantastic film and has two of my favorites, Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.

Fans of Ms. Moore should check out "Far From Heaven" which is available for streaming on Netflix and fans of Colin Firth should certainly see "Apartment Zero" which is available only on DVD (or perhaps streaming on Amazon).
