Basil Thai in San Marco is fairly new and really really good. Very reasonably priced too.

I don't know what you consider reasonbly priced?  I checked out the menu there.  Most of the items there were in the $18-$25 for dinner.

Oh, I havent been for dinner. At lunch, its about $8 for dish I get.
Yeah that seems high for dinner, I didnt think they were that high.  You sure youre not thinking of Poms? I know they are rediculous.

That's the one where the wine bar used to be, right down from BB's?

Yup

9a is my backyard

Sala Thai across from the Sam's/Post Office/Salvation Army on Beach is pretty good.  It's not quite as cheap as you're looking for, but I think most menu items are between $10-16.

I'll second Sala Thai. Haven't been there in about 10 years but it was a favorite of my family's.

I also remember going to a place called Pattaya Thai. Don't know if that's still around or not, but I think it was out towards the beaches...maybe up on Atlantic. (Maybe not at all...only very vaguely remember)

I say Pattaya Thai. Its always consistently good and the prices are spot on.

Basil Thai does seem quite high for dinner.
