Just something fun I saw. I'm big fan of the tv show Fringe and tonights episode is called "Jacksonville". One of the main characters is said to be from Jacksonville and it says in the preview that the team heads down to Jacksonville, but I doubt they actually filmed anything here. Would have been cool though. Just thought it was something cool to tell everyone.

Thanks for the heads up.  Big fan of the show.  This storyline has been mentioned and hinted at in the past and have anxiously awaited an episode to shed some light.  I will definitely watch tonight...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Can't wait!!!

I'm curious to know if the writers have some sort of connection to Jax or if it was just a convenient city to use in the show.

Miss Fixit

Are we sure they're going to Jacksonville, Florida and not Jacksonville, NC (home of Ryan Adams)?

BridgeTroll

I think it will be Mayport actually... 8)

it's Jacksonville Florida, because they said it in season 1

Mayport?  Damn.  I was guessing that the mysterious experiments here would be related to the famous Hipps Rd groundwater problems of many years ago near Cecil.

Pretty good episode... with a cliffhanger ending for the new season in April.  The Jacksonville location was an abandoned military base.  Clearly NOT filmed on location... :)

I watched the show last night for the first time after seeing this thread yesterday. Pretty cool  8)

It was funny how they said 'Jacksonville' like 10 times in the span of minutes

'We need to get to Jacksonville'
'What's in Jacksonville'
'Our lab is in Jacksonville'
'Let's get down to Jacksonville'

Out side the abandoned lab looked more like up state NY than Jacksonville  :D
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

I noticed that too and, frankly, was a bit disappointed that the location had absolutely no true connection to the area whatsoever.  It could have at least LOOKED like Florida.

Nonetheless, a great episode.  I was glad to see the show getting back to the thick of the plot instead of watching a bunch of random "cases".

Shwaz, if you can get a hold of the old episodes you should really try to start at the beginning.  This show is a lot like "Lost" and jumping into the middle will have you lost for sure.  :)
