JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Property owners throughout downtown spoke out about the need for better safety and a cleaner area, and downtown listened.

Downtown Vision Inc. (DVI) has announced plans to improve the services throughout the central core of the city.

The board of directors of DVI did research across the country to find out what other cities do, and as a result came to an agreement with Service Group Inc., a company working in 21 Downtown Improvement Districts across the country.

SGI will oversee the efforts of both the Downtown Ambassador and Downtown Clean Team programs, making sure they continue to provide their services, but do so in a more efficient manner.

Well, I guess this is good?

My biggest complaint is not the cleanliness of downtown (however, it could be better).  My biggest complaint in this regard is with the homeless.  I don't think this will help that.

However, I'd love to be wrong.

Those were most of the comments on the FCN site... :)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."
