Hey everyone. I'm Sean and I just started working with Shawn McGuire (jaxdwellings.com) to find myself a home in Springfield. He is outstanding. I'm 24 years old, and I have grown to love the area despite a lot of negative talk from "outsiders."

I've lived here all of my life, except for a few years when I lived in St. Augustine. I'm a full-time website/graphic designer, and I run a local message board of my own but for cars. Hopefully I can find out a lot of useful things here, as I am trying to be more active in the community.

I also want to say that some of the articles on this website are phenomenal. One last thing-- be sure to do what you can and support the Jaguars!

Welcome sheanhimself! Springfield has lots of potential and enjoy. Let me recommend "Three Layer Coffee Shop" corner of Walnut and 6th.........oustanding coffee and edibles! I am an outsider and my issue's are with the Board of Spar...............tyranny at its best, but thats my opinion!

Thanks for the warm welcome lol. I have been there already.

On to the weird topics in my intro thread that reaperman wanted to pinpoint on-- I use PC & Mac. Most people who hate Mac are just mad because they can't afford them (not saying I can). And supporting the Jags is supporting the city!

Welcome. I lived at 2nd. and Laura for a couple years. But that was years ago, when things where dirt cheap.
'As a sinner I am truly conscious of having often offended my Creator and I beg him to forgive me, but as a Queen and Sovereign, I am aware of no fault or offence for which I have to render account to anyone here below.'   Mary, queen of Scots to her jailer, Sir Amyas Paulet; October 1586

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

lol that's okay with me. Being familiar with both is my preference. To each his own.  ;)

Welcome Sean.  You've chosen an outstanding realtor to help you in your search.  Be sure to head over to myspringfield.org and introduce yourself there as well.

Welcome Sean!  I live on Silver myself.  I'd bet there are lots of good deals going on right now, great timing on your part.  Any questions about the neighborhood feel free to ask, MJ is full of Springfielders.  It really is a great place to live with good neighbors, you'll like it here I think.

Just... don't open a boarding house, or if you do tell no one!  :)

Welcome Sean!
I'm new to the forum as well. I have lived in Jacksonville for 12 years but didn't know any of the diverse, rich history & culture until this past year when I started attending Artwalks. I'm still learning, thanks to Metrojacksonville.

What was your favorite article so far?

Sean, welcome to Springfield. It is an awesome place with great people. Springfield residents host a monthly coctail party called First Friday. I am hosting the February 5th gathering at 15 W. 3rd Street and would love for you to come out and meet your future neighbors. We start at 7 and usually get kicking by 8. We have food, drinks and a DJ planned. Hope to meet you there.
