From another thread came this question about mudslides that occurred in a mountain pass of the Andes, on the Pacific range Between Cali and Buenaventura. The roads were closed for weeks and millions of dollars in food exports and other dated shipments sat in trucks going to spoil. Meanwhile from a far mountainside, we on the railroad, were just putting the finishing touches on a complete rebuild to the port, but equipment wasn't available to ferry cars and trucks around the slides.

The following response comes from our friend CS Foltz, in another thread, where you can take a video rail journey through our camera, in the locomotive. His question is completely innocent, but it illustrates the degree to which our slanted news media, selling agenda's rather then news, have gone with their story's. We imagine tiny thatched huts, with dirt floors, chickens and pigs running with 20 children per household. Steaming jungles full of evil guerrilla soldiers, snakes, jaguars and giant croc's. Don't forget the deadly man-eating fish! We never see a film that isn't in some ghetto, with blood and bodies splattered everywhere. Oh my God! How could you become a citizen of such a messed up country Ock?

Nice work Ock.............interesting to say the least..........I got one question regarding Mud. When there is a mud slide, do they show up with 1001 shovels or is mechanized equipment railed in? Water cannons might be of use to cut through.....not really something that I am up on!

Uh, because THAT Colombia, doesn't really exist! Yes there are still Guerrillas and sometimes they snatch some American businessman. They do not take little girls to nearby landfills! If I could blindfold each of you and pop in some ear-plugs, then plop you into the middle of Colombian society, you couldn't tell me if you were in Madrid, Sao Palo, Montreal, or Rome. Colombia is as advanced as we are in every respect, except education, where they hold a 91.2% factor against our ??

So here is a short film just for y'all, LAKELANDER will love this one, somebody tell him about it. This is the Colombia that I know.

MJ, CS, Would you believe our church held a prayer service for us before we came back to Jacksonville? They worry about our daily safety in our violent culture. You see the violence in Colombia, is 1/5 that of Jacksonville.
