New and un-read posts

Is there a way to "bold" the threads that contain new posts for quicker reference in addition to the little blue "new" symbol?  I know there has been a ton of work involved to integrate the main page and the forums but this would be a nice feature.

That's a good idea. I made the changes. It only works for signed in users though.
