This is a nice place to have on Main Street.  If you have not visited, its worth the try.

QuotePastor Clinton Bush is on a mission.

Last July, he opened City Kidz Ice Cream Cafe to bring good food to Springfield and financial literacy to as many children as he can. Pastor Bush works with children, teaching them about real-world financial skills using balance sheets, checks and other monetary examples which they may encounter as they move into adulthood. That’s why you’ll see “An Inner City Enterprise Fostering Financial Literacy” on the logo for City Kidz.

At first glance, City Kidz is obviously an ice cream shop, but what isn’t so obvious is that this is one of the best places to get lunch in Jacksonville â€" not just in Springfield, but in the whole city.

Pastor Bush greeted us warmly and introduced his wife Sonya to us. He lovingly described each dish as he brought it out. Believe me, Pastor Bush is all about the experience. If you order the Chicken and Waffles, you aren’t allowed to have it to go. He knows that by the time you get it to your home or office, it’ll be soggy. So, he won’t let you leave with it. Nothing is ever left under a warming light in this cafe. That’s the kind of authenticity that I love to see. The man is passionate about the food.
