JaxNole, myself, and a couple of our friends hit up "Al Hilem" (as it's spelled on the coupons).

The place was engrish-tastic. I don't think there was a correctly spelled word in the place.

Was my first time. It was nice. But the place was DEAD last night. I mean.. DEAD DEAD. The only thing goin between our table and no-mans land was some strannnngggee redneck metal band dude from alabama that skeezed us out.

I wasn't that impressed with the drink prices. But the place was very nice/clean and the staff was super friendly. I'll go again, just not to drink. It was definitely a nice place to chill with friends ,though.

That location is probably cursed, like the restaurant of the week at the old hot-rod jax location on Park by I-95.

I forget who on here posted that link to the "you're not fooling anybody" website which made fun of obvious store conversions like a Pizza hut to Chinese take out or a KFC to a tax accountant's office, but that's exactly what I think of when I go to that place. "oh look, I’m sitting in a lil' champ parking lot!"

One good thing for those with small budgets: $7.99 hookahs on Monday and Tuesday.  Chat up the staff, especially Al, and you'll get a 20% discount ticket for hookahs and drinks.

Not as popular as The Casbah, but with King poised to be a walkable nighttime "entertainment district" as soon as the new venue opens next to Park Place, it's worth multiple visits.

Yeah, but the Alabama guy, Matt-Mark-Matthias, left us with a free hookah!
