Cool samiam! I wrote that Rail Classic's article way back then and tried without a internet to wake up the sleeping giant...  Nope, Skyway or bust, and THAT is what we got!  Thanks for the heads up...

I think this may be a photo of what you are referring to:



The picture shows the intersection of Bay and Main. Notice the double track in the foreground on Bay. I believe this shows the rebuilding of about 1908, when the loop on Forsyth a block north was being installed. The switches allowed cars to run through downtown- a practice the JTA has discovered in the last few years!
