Florida In 2060: Not a pretty picture?



With close to 18 million residents today, Florida already is challenged with the consequences of rampant sprawl, rapidly vanishing natural areas, and overcrowded roads.  What will Florida look like in 2060, when its population is projected to reach almost 36 million?

Oh well, overdevelopment is the price you hafta pay when you're living in such a fast growing state. Besides the FL State, and Nat'l parks expect almost everything else in the future to fill in.

In 2060, I plan not to be in Florida, if it even last that long, but in all honesty, the picture of it in 2060 makes it look like a diseased boot, and that's all it will be in 2060...

My first message is to the fundies:  Stop F*cking!  PLEASE!  I know you think the earth is going to end within your lifetime so it won't matter that you have 7 kids who each have 7 kids...  That is a _lot_ of resources to be consuming!  Preachers need to start preaching the virtues of contraception and only having two children.  The earth can't support that many people.

Second:  This map doesn't account for rising oceans as a result of global warming.  By 2060 half of Florida will probably be under water.
