I agree!

Faye, You had my defacto support simply by showing up in a public forum and displaying knowledge of issues and standing your ground. Please, don't let me down.

I'm sure if you are making assertions as to a political opponents extremism and pathological dishonesty that you can offer more compelling evidence than a blog entry.

Do you lend credence to those who cite the Politico as a reference for information?

buckhead, well, thank you for joining metrojacksonville and finding me here too.

Obviously the blog entry only serves as an example of the leeway Mica has been given because of his supposed support for public transport,......though the only public transport project that I have see him support in FL in the 17 years he has been in US Cingress is one that would relieve his hometown of Winter Park of cargo trains. People are catching on to his extremism. I would think that extremism ranking by the National Journal which routinely ranks US Congress based on their voting record would serve as a good source for you?

Let me give you a clickable link to prove Mica's extremist right wing voting record,.......the most extremist of ALL FL congressmen:

Welp, I tried, but the link does not work.

I C/P'd it to google and tried that link. No luck.

I did see a link for your webpsite. I noticed the Page stating that Mica was named the 15th most conservative in the nation, whatever that means.

In parousing the site, I also learned that while in California, you worked in the field of health care.

Please tell me that you did not lobby the California state legislators for a health insurance company.

The link works fine for me and others. It shows 2007 vote ratings.

I was a Capital Expenditure Planner at Kaiser Permanente, where my work included utilization studies for MRI equipment which at that time were terribly expensive. I therefore worked closely with many physicians to determine the demand for MRI services at the 9 Soutehrn California Hospitals.

In Florida, I indeed was a citizen lobbyist for Patient Safety and Stem Cell Research, but I traveled to Tallahassee and Washington DC, rather than disrupt Town Hall meetings.

And what is your backround related to healthcare?

Ah, another lie exposed!

QuoteMica misstates how bill addresses illegal aliens
In the Sentinel editorial board's interview with Rep. John Mica on Monday ("Mica: Private plans at risk"), he stated that the health-reform bill H.R. 3200 did not address coverage of illegal aliens under a government insurance plan.

Mica also stated that the absence of such a prohibition amounted to allowing anyone coverage, regardless of immigration status.

Actually, Section 246 of the bill reads as follows: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

Either Mica has not read the bill he is fighting against, or he is willfully misrepresenting it. As Rep. Joe Wilson might say (or, rather, scream), he's lying.

But what’s more disturbing than Rep. Mica’s boldfaced lies is the willingness of the Sentinel to allow him to get away with it unchallenged. Are you journalists, or are you stenographers?
