PLACES I LIKE TO EAT

I've been wanting to talk about some of the places I like to eat and I don't really think there is a single thread for that.  If there is, please let me know.
I like the St Johns Seafood and Steaks in Hilliard because they serve breakfast there -- I think they're the only St Johns in the Jacksonville area which does.  They open about 6 or 6:30 am and serve till 10:30 am, seven days a week.  Their food is good and their prices reasonable.
Sarah Lee's Bakery and Cafe in Callahan is a great place for something sweet.  They're on My Space.  Just take a look and see if it doesn't make you hungry.

I like the Texas Roadhouse on Blanding for steaks.  They have prime rib on the weekends, including Friday. I really like that.  One of the good things about them is that you can call in to get a reservation.  Here's their website: http://www.texasroadhouse.com/home.php?ad=giftcard
We also like going to the restaurants in the Airport mall: Red Lobster for example.  They're convenient to us and they're getting an Olive Garden, too.
Where do you like to go?
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Vito's on Baymeadows and San Jose is awesome and Stonewood across the street is pretty good as well.
Chicken Koop is probably the best hangover food ever.
In Riverside, Hovan on Margaret is a great place to grab lunch and Mos Fire has awesome meatloaf.  I've never actually eaten at Kickbacks but if their food is as good as their beer selection then.. well enough said.
I never make it out to the beaches anymore but there used to be a place out there, I think it was called Cruisers, that had the best burger in Jacksonville.

I've never heard of these places but they sure sound good.  Have you tried Five Guys for burgers?  I go to the one on IH 95 near JAX International.  I've also done mystery shopping at one as well.  That was pretty cool -- I got paid for the shop and also reimbursed for the meal.  They're pretty good, too.  Their fries are cooked in peanut oil and I don't like them, but you can get your burgers made to order -- including mushrooms. Here's their website which has a locator: http://www.fiveguys.com/Content5.aspx?cn=Home.  I have a GPS in my van and I may be able to locate your suggestions by name.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I really like to read this thread.  Just looking at it makes me hungry.  I noticed that “Five Guys” has been mentioned several times as well as several other good places to eat.  Has anyone else tried the Texas Roadhouse on Blanding near BJ’s and Compass Bank?  If you have, I hope you enjoyed it.
If you’re like me and enjoy prime rib, don’t forget they only serve that on Weekends.  You can call (904) 213-1000 for a reservation and, that way, you don’t have to wait as long.  They’re usually pretty busy.  If the restaurants you mention also have reservation numbers, please mention them or make sure they’re available on the website.
I live in Callahan, as you might have guessed from previous posts, and most of these places sound like they are further than I normally like to drive.  I think I’m going to have to make several exceptions, though.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Captain Z good call on the breakfast at Metro Diner but we never say Harpoon Louie's it is just Harp's. :D

I know Thai Garden looks like just a strip Mall hole from the outside but I really love it.
