The Northside was(is) a textbook example of an underserved market.  For decades, the city and the chamber of commerce couldn't get anything built out there.  The only real reason being that the income level, though sufficient to support a sizeable retail base, was not as high as the southside.

I had no doubt that once something opened up out there, that it would be successful.  It could have opened years earlier and been successful too, IMO. It just goes to show you that 'markets' are imperfect.

Good to see retail in the airport are continuing to thrive and grow. Hopefully some nicer hotels will join aloft.

Anyone know if this will be an enclosed mall?  Sounds like it will be an open air extension of RCMP.

Its not a mall, its a strip shopping center with outparcels.  Its something that looks like it could be anchored by a Publix, Target or Home Depot.

Nothing special.  Just a fluffed up story title to make it seem larger than it really is.  Nevertheless, I'm sure that area will be happy to have more shopping options on their side of town.

I wonder why it is referred to then as a mall?  Maybe someone got it wrong what it really is.
