I checked out the new Epic Theatre in St. Augustine to see Terminator Salvation.  Anyone else seen this one yet?  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Great story, BIG action, ties in the characters well and a nice spin with the "new" Terminator.  And yes, Arnold does make a reappearance (at least his face).

The husband wants to go but we've heard that it wasn't very good.

I thought it was pretty good. better than the last terminator at least. Lots of action. and it was a computer generated Arnold. I read he didn't have time to film anything for this one, so they just used his face from past terminators and made him in this one.

Some of the machines are almost Matrix like.  Makes me think that the Terminator series could be the precursor of the Matrix.  Man, creates machine; machine kills man and enslaves them for power; the Matrix is born....

I dunno, maybe it could happen!?  :)

Not really. Only one person gets killed by a Terminator in the movie. It was ok, but not great. I mean, come on...you have these machines which are programmed to be precision killing machines, and they can't seem to hit anything when they shoot! Then when you finally see a T800 model 101 (The Arnold model) at the end, and it gets its hands on John Connor, all it does it throw him around? Why not instantly rip his head off? It's supposed to be a highly efficient killing machine! But then again, what do you expect from a director like McG? He's known for big explosions, not substance.
