Ride Your Bike To Work Day On Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton, City Council member Don Redman and the North Florida Bicycle Club invite residents to join them by participating in "Ride Your Bike To Work Day" on Friday, May 15.
Sponsored by the North Florida Bicycle Club, organized group rides to downtown will depart from three designated Jacksonville locations - Arlington, Mandarin, and Westside - around 7 a.m. (See below for specific times and locations.)
Following the bicycle commute, riders are invited to meet in Hemming Plaza (located downtown at the intersection of Laura, Monroe, Hogan and Duval Streets) at 7:50 a.m., where Council member Redman and Mayor Peyton will hold a brief event to recognize those who have participated and the mayor will read a proclamation commemorating the day. The North Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will provide free juice and bagels to all riders and the American Diabetes Association will provide free coffee.

SOUTHSIDE
