Is Coaches Corner Sports Bar another Landing failure?

Southbanker

I went there today to meet a friend and watch the FSU basketball game.  They were closed so I assume that means they are closed permanently?

Ended up at Hooters which is about the only place at the Landing that has stood the test of time?  And I have to say that Hooters is my least favorite Hooters in the city.

yes it is closed...at least that Hooters has a bunch of new HD plasma sets

Hooters should just cut to the chase and
genetically engineer the waitstaff to lactate malt beverages.

It was in that storefront that faces the street. Kinda next door to Coastal Cookies. It's been a ton of failed ventures already. It was Bourbon Bayou last right?

There are TVs in Hooters?  Who knew?  8)

You need TVs to look at in the downtown location.... This group at my work drives 20 minutes to the southside location, even though there's one 1 mile across the river.

That location is pretty much doomed to fail.

Will you get your beverages straight from the teet?   ;D

I've been by Coaches Corner a couple times but never went in.  IMO, the Hooters outsidedeck is the best spot in the Landing.

American Cafe has a pretty nice outdoor patio as well. Too bad their food is meh.

Twisted Martini's outside seating isn't bad either. Good view of the TV for the times they actually play something worth watching on it.

The Landing Bookstore is alo closing...they lost a lot of business when they moved from the entrance off to the side...guess that's the owner's fault for not wanting to have the mini-post office in his store

I wonder if it had anything to do with Chamblin's opening up on Laura?
