Scout.com had him rated as a first round pick. So at least value wise it doasn't seem out of left field. We need more DL. Mabey Harvey and Groves will make a sophmore jump.

Some radio commentator claimed that Britton was projected as a late first-rounder this year, but that had he stayed for his senior season at AZ, he could potentially have been a top 10 pick next year.  This leads me to believe that Monroe and Thomas will be the starters next year, giving Britton one more year to add some bulk and improve his pass protection.  Thomas turns 35 this November, so his future in the NFL is a short one.  By 2010, we may have our bookend tackles for the next decade in Monroe (left) and Britton (right).
