Friday Night, I dined with a group of friends (Suzanne and Marshal Jenkins, Scott Forgey, Elizabeth and Angelo Gasparri )  at Orsay.

It was literally Sublime.

I have been wanting to try it out... Please describe...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Orsay is a great restaurant though.   ;)

Not to speak ill of your peeps, because I know you appreciated their efforts in Springfield (and rightfully so), but is the ownership/staff any friendlier than the Crush crew was?

Crush got royally snotty towards the end. The whole place was always empty, yet they still loved to leave you standing by the door for 10 minutes before seating you. And they liked to argue with you about stupid stuff, like when the steak was overcooked it was somehow your fault. Like at age 27 I haven't yet figured out what medium rare is. The final straw was that 2 out of the last 3 times I went there, I had to witness some other table getting into a fight with servers and/or management, and they were treated terribly. One of them was a 10-12+ person table, for a pharmaceutical dinner, and the server would hide from them for 30 minutes at a time. It really seemed like the more their business dropped off, the worse they treated the few unsuspecting people who would still wander in because they hadn't been warned about them yet.

Anwyay, if Orsay is a new group of people then I will definitely go and try it out. But if it's the same people from Crush, then ehh...I honestly don't think you could pay me to go back there. So is it the same owners/crew as Crush, or is it a new group?

It's the same people from Chew, NOT Crush - right?

my husband and i went here during their soft opening and it was amazing!

we want to go back for our 1 year wedding anniversary, if we are in town

if you are into cocktails, you HAVE to try their cucumber martini, it sounds a lil odd, but it was tasty.
i wish i got the name of the bartender that night because he was really good

Well then we will give it a try! Looking forward to it, it's nice to see something new spicing up the neighborhood.

jeez i hate when people exaggerate how good food is.

a revelation? really?

there's bad food, ok/good food, and great food.

You can pick up a whole (orange) duck @ Whole Foods btw.

Crush was shut down for tax evasion.  Glad to hear Orsay is doing well and has good reviews.
