Black Friday took on a whole new meaning today with a few violent incidents around the country.

Horrible news. Especially the incident at Wal-Mart in NYC.

Has anyone taken part in Black Friday around Jax? Is it this chaotic?

It's disgusting and I really wish the stores would stop such practices that clearly bring out the worst in people. Why don't they just have to discounts for a couple of days, instead of in such a limited time frame that results in chaos. I hope the police nab the sick bastards that did this and charge them. I also hope the man's family will sue Walmart

A sad commentary on our consumerist society... :(
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Indeed....some things bring out the best in people...and stuff like that, brings out the worst

I just read where they are looking at the video to charge people.. that will be tough, but I hope they can because this is just stupid. I am shocked at people....

I hope they can find who did it also....those who were responsible need to be charged and convicted

Yeah it will be tough. I saw on the news that it would be hard to prosecute anyone because the people in the front were being pushed by the people in the back. Wal-Mart though, should definitely be held liable. The saddest thing I saw was when they were taking his body out on a stretcher to the ambulance. People were just casually walking out of the store with their over-sized bags in hand, and showed what appeared to be not a care in the world to what they had just caused. Truely saddening.
