Five Points is on fire. I love that FP is a genuinely cool place that is so undiscovered! May not be for long though.
I used to hang out at Fat Tuesdays in Atlanta when in college. There was one in Buckhead in those days, many centuries ago. Great to see they're still around.

There is a lot of bigger chain type reputable brands coming to Five Points. There is obviously a lot of momentum there in attracting that kind of company, which is impressive.

With that being said, a lot of people are sad about the idea that Five Points could become full of that kind of business as opposed to the hole in the wall hidden gems that it used to. The loss of Sun Ray Cinema was a massive loss in my mind, and although I know that FIVE theater is great and helps with this growth, I wish there was a district in the city that could feel like "the old Five Points"

I know that sounds very crochety haha. Five Points felt like a place you could go and you never knew what you might see/experience on a given night. It felt like a miniature Ybor in some ways. It is becoming something much more tourist approachable, and likely will be more financially healthy. Maybe Murray Hill will have to be the "New Old Five Points"

That's just what I was thinking - Edgewood Ave in MH.

Yep, MH for sure. Lots of new stuff popping up every week.
