Will DCPS's move waste a golden opportunity?

Imo it's a money thing and def cheaper on the taxpayer overall. If they want to move again in the future, they can sell what they bought and no need to get money from there city. Though it's not DT and we're losing the daytime workers, at least it's not a JTA fiasco.

Would of liked to see Chase Properties, not too confident of the current winner for development but again that's opinion. Also, Riversedge needs to step it up Nextdoor.

Well here they even had it on their youtube channel.

I don't know which is less believable; this or the Hard Rock proposal.  2nd floor grocery with garage parking with an existing Publix less than a mile away seems like a real stretch.  Also I don't know that there's a market for an additional 150 condos on the Southbank.  Seems to me like this is smoke and mirrors to get the property under contract and then they'll do the feasibility study to see what might actually work.

Like i said, I'm not too confident on this one, but willing to remain optimistic and let things play out(call me naive). But we've seen publix next to Publix (even in Neptune beach) and Publix across the street from Publix before. Though I'd prefer something like a Trader Joe's here, don't find it unusual if it's another Publix.

As for 150 condos, i think the grocer makes it partially worth it. Still need more to do there besides parks. And there's no restaurants, no nothing. Literally a dead zone. It's funny that they're proposing to build a hotel but Preston Hollow can't get going.

At least they know about the CDD being on the parking lot of DCPS.
