AT&T sells Downtown property near Gateway Jax development

AT&T said the "unique deal structure that enables future profit sharing from redevelopment opportunities."

According to Duval County property records, the AT&T site comprises two buildings.

One building is a 13-story computer/telecom data center built in 1972. It is 168,952 square feet.

The other structure is an eight-story office building built in 1946. It is 185,156 square feet.

Based on what I know, yes, and the article said ATT's lease would go at least 20 years. 

I believe that the buildings house internet and telecommunications hubs for multiple colocation companies due to the history of the buildings being the nerve center going back decades for ATT/BellSouth and, thus, having the connected infrastructure needed for such purposes.

Note that one of the towers has no windows.  It was built primarily to house technology, not people.

I doubt that's the plan here but still interesting.
