I'm honestly surprised it took this long.

An absolutely invaluable resource, I hope locals are willing to sacrifice a latte a month to support local journalism.

So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

If you only could pay for one, which would it be: FloridaTimes Union, Daily Record or the Biz Journal??

Depends on what you are looking for.

For investigative reporting, politics and watching City Hall or Tallahassee more closely, it's the T-U.  Of course, you also get sports, obituaries, other news, features, etc.

Hard to beat the Daily Record for business, construction and real estate coverage along with their occasional spotlights on movers and shakers in the business community.  Karen Mathis knows everyone and used to be the business editor at the T-U when they had such a thing.  Add, she lives to scoop everyone else and it is hard to beat such coverage under her domain.

Business Journal is OK for business plus related features but rarely scoops the Daily Record anymore.  They also do well with surrounding county/regional coverage and business advice features.  I would say they compliment the coverage in the Daily Record more than overlap it.

I might add the San Marco and Riverside Resident papers, which are free, do an excellent job of covering localized zoning, real estate and infrastructure issues in those respective areas along with the most robust social event coverage you could ever ask for.  Great for seeing who hobnobs with who in this town.  If you have lived in this City for at least 10 years and have gone to any charity event, your picture has probably been published in it  8).

If you want to be sure and not miss out on anything, you probably should get all of them  8).

For real estate news it is the Daily Record.

Great answer! Couldn't agree more.

If you watch for deals, you could probably get all three for $20 a month total.
