Just think where DT JAX would be today if Vystar and JWB had started there investments ten or even five years earlier than they did. The two combined have already done more for DT than any other entity you can name, including the city itself.

For the JWB side, all it took was the DIA revamping the incentives program for restoring historic buildings. Imagine if that had been done 15-20 years ago combined with Alvin Brown being able to get the Landing revamped back in 2014-2015.

VyStar's big investment started with Brian Wolfburg (new CEO). Awesome speaker if you have a chance to hear him. I asked him at one, "...this is very much not the VyStar we all knew over the years. Was it tough convincing the executive team and the board of the direction?" He actually said the board realized that in order to stay competitive and attract talent they needed to do some of this stuff..." I thought that was cool to hear.

That said, there really was no "speeding up" VyStar's investment. Heck, if JWB and the Landing stuff happened 10 years ago it may not have been as practical for VyStar to do this. A big reason they went forward with this was the fact that the economics were actually in favor of this model vs. the suburban campus.

Been in the works for a while, really excited that it's finally official.

Have really missed Vagabond in the CBD since they left the old spot at the outset of the pandemic.

Lots of VyStar employees trickling back this week as well.

These guys have been a Godsend for downtown.

Have done more for downtown in the last two or three years than Shad Khan has in a decade.

When is JWB going to move their headquarters downtown?  I support everything they are doing, but would love to see them as a corporate presence in the CBD.
