Found this on reddit. Quite telling about our Downtown when you compare where the Jags are on that list and where the other cities with Downtown NFL stadiums rank.

Interesting... I assume there is a correlation with the amount of tailgating/parking surrounding the stadium vs those in city centers with few tailgating options...  For example... Lambeau has vast tailgating vs US Bank (Vikings) in the middle of the metro...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Allegiant Stadium surprises me a bit - isn't it in the thick of Vegas?

Maybe "casinos" don't fit the parameters of a "bar" or "brewery" used in the study.

Same reason strip clubs don't get Tampa on the board? LOL

On game days (or concerts, etc), Hacienda Blvd over the interstate gets blocked off for pedestrian traffic.  You are about a 10-15 minute walk to Mandalay Bay, Four Seasons, MGM, etc. Although Pittsburgh has a ton of bars/restaurants around Three Rivers.. its about the same walk across the river into Downtown PGH than it is to walk across the freeway overpass from Allegiant/Strip... or walking across the river from Nissan Stadium to Broadway in Nashville.

While the entire area west of the stadium is light industrial (which obviously skews these numbers significantly), its pretty ludicrous to suggest that New Orleans is light years ahead of Las Vegas.  Its a closer walk to the Strip from Allegiant, than it is to walk from the Superdome to Canal Street/Bourbon Street. You literally have to walk past parking craters to get to Bourbon Street or the nicer restaurants along Tchoupitooulas/Commerce Street from the Superdome.
