Charles, thanks.  I think the puzzles cater to differing approaches... verbal, spatial, visual, intuition, association, etc.  Most of us will do better at some than others although, once in awhile, we can be fortunate to ace any one puzzle. Experience with some puzzles' "personality" also helps over time, especially Connections.  Another, is how much time and effort we put into solving.  I was doing Letter Boxed but decided I didn't want to make that time and effort regularly so backed off of it.  Main thing is for each of us to have fun challenging ourselves  .

P.S.  I see that Letter Boxed is now available by subscription only.  Surprised they would charge to be tortured daily by it  .  I think it is their hardest puzzle of the ones they have offered as free demonstrations.  Hope the others we are playing stay public.
