I love you and hate you for getting me into this. 4 tries for today but 3 for yesterday (lucked out having U placed strategically  ;D)

Tried today for the first time... done in 4 tries.

It appears the ultimate trick is don't repeat any letters in the word guesses you use.  In three tries, you would have cleared 15 letters which should put you well on your way to making an educated guess.  Reminds me of Hangman/Wheel of Fortune.  Now, if they just offer big prizes!

Wonder how many 5 letter words in the English language?  Will they go to 4 or 6 next?  ;D

Wordle 207 5/6

If you just click on the Share button and paste it into your post your results will show (see above) without the graphics...

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

What I don't understand is if this is a British game with a British inventor on a British site why are they using American English words?

Maybe because it wasn't invented by a Brit but by an American in NYC?  Maybe he is a Brit living in NYC but it doesn't say that here:

QuoteThe free game was created by software engineer Josh Wardle of New York City, who made Wordle — a riff on his name — originally for his partner, Palak Shah, who is a fan of word games. Shah also helped with some of the development.

I do note that it appears to be hosted by a UK website so not sure how that plays in.
