Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and to all a Happy New Year!

The card above is the very first one and here is the description...

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I stopped by the Downtown Wells Fargo ATM across from the old Landing site tonight to withdraw some cash to give to my nephews and nieces for Christmas. Let's just say the scene is dramatically different now. Crickets!

^ Ennis, better start looking for another WF ATM as I understand that WF is closing its Downtown branch in a few months.  And, there is word on the street that they may be evaluating their ongoing presence in and name on the tower going forward (which may be why they are closing the branch in it).  All supposedly related to changes in work habits related to COVID.

Doesn't' say much about the state of Downtown if a major bank can totally eliminate its retail banking operations (and maybe more) there.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
