Wanted to ask, but is retail going on both Laura and Main on the garage?

Looks like all these projects are expected to come online around the same time. That's exciting if everything goes according to plan.

I feel like these projects are just as important as all these continuous renderings for the Shipyards and Landing. These will create some real density in the true core of downtown. While also preserving some beautiful architecture.

It's exciting. This cluster of projects will pump some much needed life into the Northbank.

You heard anything at all regarding tenants at the various projects?

I agree. I was born in Jax, raised in Jax, and have lived in Jax off and on throughout my life, and I haven't seen the possibility of this much action and intensity since the 1960's when people actually shopped, dined, voyeured, and just walked around and enjoyed downtown. I hope all of them, including the one's not mentioned in this thread that are proposed or planned, come to fruition.

I'm w/ Lakelander  I'm excited for these to be done.  Having some residents with some $$$$ can bring some nice changes to those few blocks. Be the base to support some businesses.

Dare I dream of a cluster of resteraunts large enough to attract folks from around town? Or at least the what?  500? 800?  1200? units that have come onto the market or about to all on southbank, brooklen, east san marco.  All stuff that is pretty close to that cluster of resored buildings.  Which is why I'm daring to dream a lil' about that cluster of resteraunts.

Landfall, I'd be curious on that too.

About the restaurant in the Ambassador:

QuoteThe hotel also will have a restaurant and lounge.

Bryan Greiner, president of AXIS parent company Augustine Development Group LLC, said the restaurant will be a "SoHo concept" with an "industrial vibe."

Greiner said the lounge will be a small speakeasy and wine cellar.

The restaurant will be operated by Doral-based Victory Hospitality LLC owner Mark Mughabghab.

It's cool that the grand opening for this project will hit pretty much on the building's centennial. It will definitely be a 'turned corner' for Jacksonville  if the Laura Trio, Ambassador, Federal Resrve and First Baptist buildings all get rehabbed.
