Dog's get JAWED and RIDE EM' COW POKES

I have never liked Georgia. I don't like the State (even though I've lived there). I don't have a clue why.  I don't like the football team either. I don't like Bulldogs.

After sitting through more of the coctail parties then I can remember, I watched this one with some fear of our own Gator past. Georgia put up 3 points and then held a party...

It would be their last celebration of the day, even though they squeezed out 7 points near the very end, it did nothing to stop the Gator SMACK DOWN that was going on. I thought about calling the SPCA, PETA etc... but it would have done no good. Here were the bad guys and their quarterback didn't deserve the beating he was taking. That kid could knock a sparrow off a fence post with a football at 1/2 mile. He amazed me as he threw a long pass into a huge crowd of Gator players (late in the 1st Qtr?). Sure enough he hit his player right on the numbers, an act he repeated over and over, until Florida started cutting inside and picking them off. That pass was simply amazing, but it was all bark, no bite. As the big GREEN beast just kept beating and beating the dog, the Georgia side of the stadium fell empty! Those kids were playing 1/4 of the game for Teal Blue plastic seats. They didn't deserve that either. When Georgia scored it's one and only touchdown, an amazing thing happened. A huge cheer went up in the crowd - looking at the screen, I was amazed, the crowd was all Florida Fans... cheering the humbled beaten dogs.

You Georgia boys and girls shouldn't abandon your team like you did... it was shameful behavior, appalling... I myself would have fogged up and cried - BUT - I couldn't BREATHE. I was laughing too hard.



And just for the record My OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS beat the hell out of IOWA ST. - last I saw it was 59 to 10 OSU. OU...hee hee, you and the TEX TECH are NEXT!

I don't know the answer my friend Coolyfett, frankly maybe it's the clay? Georgia has a rich red mud clay that gum's up your shoes and grows cotton. Oklahoma on the other hand has rock hard pale red clay (the top soil ALL blew away during the "Dust Bowl"). Maybe that hardscrabble makes the difference? OSU is usually the underdog, yet they have knocked off everyone but Texas, and would have done that but for a sloppy play. The Dogs have done the same thing, but they just died in the jaws of the mighty gator (you do know a gator in real life seems to prefer DOG to any other meal?). I'm more upset at the Georgia crowd then the team, the quarterback is brilliant - hope the Jags draft him. If an OSU game went empty like that only 3/4 of the way through, I swore that T. Boone Pickens, would round up "pistol Pete" and the Posse" to go get em.

Does anyone on these boards leave a game 3/4 of the way through? Someone that does this PLEASE explain to me the reasons? Even if it's a blow out, I DON'T GET IT?

Your team, be it JAG'S, GATORS, OSU COWBOYS (my other favorite team is who ever plays the Dallas Cowboys... So don't confuse them), deserves your full support don't they? Why would you wait a year for a special moment in the stands, pay a fortune for the entertainment, then leave to save 60 minutes? You wait a whole year,  a lapse of about 365.26 days (Sideral Year) or  23 h 56 m 4.1 s per day for a whole year to save 1/24Th of an hour in your car. 1/365.2425th of a day per day difference if using a Tropical year.

So gee, don't you feel and look smart investing all of that just to walk out on your team? Someone PLEASE explain this to me. At this rate for every 4 games you see, you only SAW 3.

They probably needed to get their drink on. As you say, they waited an entire year, paid a fortune for the entertainment, and saw their time fall behind 49-3. I'd think it's time to go find a bottomless pitcher...
