Are you guys ready for Trevor Lawrence to get drafted by the home team Jaguars?   He is going to bring the franchise back to a winning one.

I'm ready for a better team, and more wins.  It's a little sad to hear the hype 1010XL has poured onto his shoulders. And he needs to gain weight. I'd feel better about him holding up all season if he was 230 lbs. I believe he was 215 at the pro day.

I quit listening to 1010XL after the one sided and ignorant coverage of Lot J. With that being said, I agree.. hopefully post surgery and once drafted in an NFL strength and conditioning program they can boost his weight without taking away from his athleticism.

I am not sure what his game day weight was at Clemson but 215 and most likely a bit lighter as of now worries me against NFL Edge and Interior Lineman.

I believe he was 213 on pro day but game day weight was in the 220s during the season - the weight loss being attributable to the non-throwing shoulder injury hindering the ability to work out.

Weight and durability aren't necessarily synonymous though.  Tom Brady is a relatively flimsy guy - I expect his real weight is lower than his listed weight - and has been exceptionally durable.  And there have been plenty of beefy QBs who couldn't take a hit and were frequently injured, e.g., Jake Locker or Dan McGwire.

Not sure of the stats during his years with the Patriots but TB12 has been well protected for most of his career. If the Jags protect TL then he should do fine, just don't want to see him running too much and taking hits cause he will have a target on his back for sure.

Brady does have a lot of sacks but one of the lowest percentages per drop back....

I'm sure flexibility and ability to avoid a direct hit has a lot to do with it.  Russell Wilson is a good example of someone who runs a lot and has played behind questionable offensive lines and has managed to avoid major injury.  Of course, he's low to the ground and sturdy.

I wish we could borrow Blake Bortles' apparent indestructibility and transfer it to Trevor.

Of course you're right about line quality, though.  I was a Broncos fan before Jacksonville got the Jaguars, and saw Elway go from a 200-pound, frequently hit, frequently injured young player, to a 225-pound guy (big for a QB back then) mid-career who mostly avoided injury, to 210 but relatively injury-free at the end, but at the end he had an outstanding line.
