Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Wasn't there someone on this forum that posted equally baffling things about kayak launches and the guys from Baltimore? Noone I think?

Are we sure FP&L isn't Noone back in a new form?

They've had master plans before, they just don't follow them.

The homeless population that used to congregate at that site now, in some cases, literally lays on the sidewalks surrounding Hemming Park yelling at passersby, and anyone coming into the CBD is greeted by a pocket park that looks like a murder scene.

Jinxed it.

Drove by yesterday and it looks like there's finally some action at the Main Street pocket park.

Orange fencing is down, construction equipment at the site, some new hardscaping and lighting, and I believe the park rules sign is new as well.

Seems like they're going the Hemming Park route (e.g. "Oh no! People might sit down! Cover up anything that looks like a seat with a plant!")

Apologies for the blurry photos, was driving.

So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

Quick! Jinx something else!

We are definitely, DEFINITELY not going to see a new proposal from Southeast/Steve Atkins either shortly before or shortly after Thanksgiving that will finally get the Laura Street Trio moving by Q1.

No chance ;)

Looks like a cemetery.

Lol! I thought it was going to be a dog park? Maybe they meant pet cemetery?

The new tree lights in the park were installed by the Cathedral District Jax - much of the district will be lit for the month of December. There will be a demo tonight at 6pm if anyone is in the downtown area.

I'm gonna have to drive through there after work tonight. Thanks for the heads up!
