The Seminole Club building is now up for sale. Whether Sweet Pete's stays or relocates depends on the buyer's desire....

QuoteJacksonville-based Sweet Pete's intends to stay in business whether or not the candy company remains in the historic Downtown building it occupies.

The building at 400 N. Hogan St., owned by Sweet Pete's partner Marcus Lemonis, is listed for sale at $2.5 million.

"Whether we stay or relocate" depends on the buyer, said Allison Behringer, a partner in the venture with her husband and business founder, Peter Behringer.

"We're not closing either way," she said.

Seems like Sweet Pete's would fit right into the space GrassRoots wanted for their restaurant in Five Points.....

Gee, if only there were an iconic building, near the river, with other food establishments, and some vacancies.

Ya, it's too bad the City isn't sinking $40 million it's keeping The Landing living along.   Sweet Pete's would've loved to be setting up shop next to Hooters and the bodega that sold booze and cigs to the homeless.  That'd do wonders for their image.

Lol, try to make less sense.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

What will you say when Hooters ends up being a tenant at LIVE!

I think they would be a great tenant in one of the retail slots of the Murray Hill storage project.

You really hate the Landing don't you. Well I'm done. I'm now pretty much a Town Center guy. I used to be a real downtown cheerleader. Not anymore. As long as people like Peyton and Curry are running this city I'm through. I'm all for Lot J but if this goes down Curry's affair with Khan has been a disaster for the core. I'm not fond of dragging people from the suburbs away from the core. I thing the center of town is dead and will be years before it comes back. Let me make this very clear I am not anti Shad Khan but so far the only thing that has happened with all the grandiose plans is Daily's. I hope I'm wrong but I've been watching with hope for over 2 decades and not much has happened. We couldn't give Sleiman a paltry incentive to redevelope the Landing but we can fork over MILLIONS to the project in the sports complex. I'll never get it. And god help us if a recession comes soon, and it probably will, so all the Lot J plans will end up in the toilet with the downturn as the excuse.

They'd better hurry then, because the window of opportunity might be closing and closing fast!
