Have You Registered for WordCamp Yet
by William Jackson, M.Ed. #MyQuestToTeach

Sponsor and Advocate

The growth in WordCamp conferences shows an increased
interest for the web based development platform of
WordPress, covering over 30% of web page development
globally.

The importance of understanding the dynamics of Branding,
Marketing, Perception, Entrepreneurship, Enterprise
Learning, Networking, Strategic Social Media Planning
and the evolution of Digital Innovators are required to
have a successful business that integrates
Social Media and web design.

WordPress allows for digital innovation, creative diversity
and coding to integrate development to a whole new level
that includes social engagement and digital activism.
Speaking at WordCamp conferences, promoting WordCamp and
the engagement of diversity, sponsoring and even blogging
about the value base of attending WordCamp conferences
provides a mental picture.

So important is the potential of the platform to influence
the web children, youth, teens and young adults are getting
involved to market themselves and their businesses.
As a blogger of color and a business owner in digital
media, WordPress the web platform provides a dynamic
platform that literally anyone of any age, race, gender,
lifestyle, nationality, culture and intellectual ability
can create a site that represents their Brand, has a
platform to Market their services, products and share
and expand their intellectual abilities.

So engaging is WordPress that children, youth, teens
and young adults can create a business and use the
available resources to run a business on a dynamic
platform that can travel with them and
be updated on the fly.

Attending WordCamp conferences means having a mind
open to learning, exploring how to build a Brand and
Market it efficiently and strategically. Seeing the
digital world for more than just money, sharing ideas
to be agents of change and stir intellectual and
community activism.

Incorporating SoLoMoCo strategies that allow for
digital exposure and physical involvement in the
community and act as a activist with a solid
platform to share content.

Social Engagement combined with Local Involvement helps
Brands to be seen not just on a digital environment, it
allows for engagement with people. The invitation to
collaborate on a higher level.
Mobility is the new norm as digital creatives move from
meetings, events, conferences, and incorporates activism
on a level never before seen. Where information is real
time. Community Awareness is magnified and collaboration
is instant and efficient.

The cost of NOT attending a WordCamp is seen as falling
behind in an era where knowledge cannot be powerful unless
it is strategically applied. Being in the "know" means
understanding that consistant blogging and incorporating
microblogging, vblogging and using other technologies can
the minds of hundreds or thousands.
Why not attend a WordCamp is what I asked my Educational
Technology and Social Media students in my college courses.
I would take students that showed an interest on a "field
trip" to expose them to new opportunties, new ways to
integrate tech and excite their passions for being
entrepreneurs and business owners.

"Have You Registerd for WordCamp Yet?" is becoming
a standard question for those in fields of web development,
cyber-security, graphics design, STEM and STEAM fields
and increased number of African nations are providing
conferences in South Africa, Nigeria, Nairobi, and
more conferences are growing globally.

Sponsoring teachers to attend WordCamp Nairobi was a
humbling experience for me, to be able to reach across the
world to help fellow educators expand their knowledge
and skill set related to this dynamic platform.
The expansion and integration of web development on
the African continent is expanding tremendously.
One day it will surpass other nations and change the
direction of e-commerce and global investments and
business relationships digitally.

Journalism, community activism, digital blogging and
web development will never be the same....
